A Fresh Start | Parkland, Florida

The Parkland project began under difficult circumstances. Our client, Kelly, had been away from home when a pipe burst in her master bathroom. When she returned, she found her home with ankle-deep water and extensive damage that would ultimately affect her master bathroom, closets, bedroom, and the hallways beyond. In many areas, the walls had to be removed up to four feet.

After an already lengthy and frustrating experience navigating homeowners’ insurance and water remediation, Kelly was ready to look forward rather than backward. She decided to make the best of an incredibly difficult situation and use the restoration as an opportunity to create something she had always wanted: her dream bedroom and bathroom.

THE DESIGN

Rather than simply recreate what had been lost, we approached the project as an opportunity for transformation. In the master bathroom, we brought together beautiful, elevated materials chosen to create a space that felt luxurious, timeless, and entirely her own. Custom cabinetry from James Martin, gorgeous tile from Porcelanosa, Moen hardware, and an oversized freestanding tub became the foundation for a bathroom that feels both sophisticated and deeply relaxing.

The master bedroom was designed to feel equally special. We painted the ceilings to accentuate the home's vaulted and tray ceiling details, drawing attention to the architecture and giving the room a greater sense of height and drama. A substantial stone wall with an electric fireplace became the focal point, bringing together warmth, texture, and ambiance.

The overall design was intentionally luxurious without feeling cold. Every element was selected to create a sense of comfort and restoration, a space that felt completely renewed.

THE CLIENT

Kelly's experience had been incredibly difficult, and that shaped the way we approached the project. This wasn't simply about selecting beautiful tile or finding the perfect bathtub. We wanted to help her move through a stressful chapter and come out on the other side with a home that felt fresh, beautiful, and entirely hers again.

She was ready to turn a very unfortunate circumstance into something positive, and it was incredibly rewarding to help her do exactly that. Sometimes a renovation is about more than changing a space. It's about giving someone the opportunity to begin again. Helping Kelly reclaim her home and transform a painful experience into a beautiful new beginning was one of the most meaningful aspects of this project.
